ASPIRE course

DDC's Aspire course is for students wishing to work towards a career in dance.  Student's entering the Aspire course typically have advanced through DDC's intensive stream or have auditioned for entry near the end of the year prior to starting.

Level 1 and 2 Students attend primary/high school alongside their dance training after school hours, leaving school early one or two days a week to attend dance, for which they receive credit toward their high school education.  In 2019  there is a new option --Level 3 Extension (read below).

LEVEL 3 EXTENSION—nEW TO ASPIRE  IN 2019

WHAT IS IT?
​LEVEL 3 EXTENSION is for those students wishing to continue attending their high school or college in the ACT while continuing their advanced dance studies at DDC. It's for students who choose not to enter our Pre Professional course, or are not yet ready to enter it.

​HOW DOES IT WORK? 
Students leave school early two afternoons a week and attend after school classes.

ARE ACCREDITATION COURSE OPTIONS AVAILABLE? 
Level 3 Extension students will have Accredited course options available to them once they have obtained the level of dance training and school grades required for entry.

CAN I MOVE INTO THE PRE-PROFESSIONAL COURSE? Students can move from Aspire into the Pre-Professional course, speak to DDC Director Jackie Hallahan for more information.

NEW STUDENTS

Student's entering the course from another dance school are welcome and should make contact with DDC Director Jackie Hallahan (through the office) prior to auditioning. Students can enter the Aspire course through the year at the Director's discretion.
